Each of us is responsible for knowing our individual goals, how they fit into the larger company strategy, and delivering the outcomes. Each of us say, “if it’s to be, it’s up to me.” You are empowered, enabled, and expected to do whatever it takes to get those results (without violating our Patch values or the laws, of course). No excuses.

Badassitude shows up as a palpable sense of intensity to deliver excellent outcomes because we understand why it matters. The bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity to light up our flames and show how much we care. We don’t settle for good enough. We have the determination, grit, and hustle to create excellence – no mediocrity. We relentlessly give a s@#$ (RGAS).

The Spartan phalanx is world renowned for the innovation it was at the time. Not as individuals, but highly-trained and working as one united force, small numbers of Spartans would easily outclass much larger opposing forces. Though Elevated from the metaphor of physical warfare, we warriors stand as one for our mission. We know that, at the end of the day, only team wins count. We gladly accept the responsibility of ensuring our team’s success - that means not just "playing my position", but truly doing whatever it takes to ensure the team wins. And we know there is only one team, KASASA.

We Love ourselves, our company, our coworkers, our clients, and the consumers. We know Love starts in our own hearts. The Love we cultivate inside ourselves is shared with others in our words and actions. We know that Love does what needs doing and says what needs saying. It prioritizes truth and contribution over being agreeable. When we say "Love" we mean the real kind.

A situation can be a problem or a growth opportunity. A person could be a non-playable character in the game of life, or a miracle you get to know. Accountability could create dread, or it could create pride in a job well done. Working at Kasasa could be a paycheck alone or a mission you love to serve. The same is true of our values, Love could show up as merely "nice" or it could be something deep and powerful we feel in our hearts and show in our actions. Badassitude could show up as aggressive and pushy, or it could be the courage we show when we stand for something we love. And so on. All things can be high or low. Elevate calls us to  create the higher possibility that always exists in our current situation. It is the wrapper around the whole Patch reminding us to seek the "highest form" of our values.

Who cares about culture?

We do. No, really. We created a committee for Spartans to share their thoughts about what we're doing right — and what we can do better. The Patch Committee consists of employees and executives who work together to make Kasasa the Best Place to Work in Austin. Here are a few of the things they do:

  • Address employee feedback
  • Review policies and procedures
  • Plan company events
  • Continuously evaluate culture

We really do care about culture. And we hope you do too. But just because we believe culture is important, doesn't mean we take ourselves too seriously.
